This gong is engraved with a Lotus mandala from Nepal, and produces a firm and clear note when struck.
 
The design and sound combination are completely unique, and will never again be replicated by the maker - all of the gongs are one of a kind. The video demonstration shows the gong being played with two mallets. For filming purposes, the gong was hanging quite low, and the extra mallet helped stabilise the gong - however, it is not necessary to use two mallets to achieve the deep roar heard in the video.
 
Playing around the edges with one hand will tease the sound up to a crescendo which can be finished off with a firm but gentle tap in the centre of the gong. It produces a very beautiful sound, and provides a very soothing, healing experience. I strongly recommend using headphones when listening to the demonstration!
